Welcome to More Than Human, your guide to the porous and sometimes invisible boundaries between the human and non-human, the things we share with the other species, ecologies, geologies and more of planet Earth. Each episode introduces you to the individuals, groups and organisations redefining our relationship with the natural world, challenging us to interrogate our worldviews and relationships with the more-than-human.

Across each season, More Than Human dives deep into a specific story. Our first season, Living with Birrarung, will release monthly across 2025 and 2026 and focuses on the acknowledgement in legislation that the Yarra River/Birrarung in Melbourne, Victoria is one, integrated living entity. As the story unfolds across each episode, you'll meet Traditional Owners, academics, community leaders, government agencies and more who can help us understand what this means and the opportunities it presents to us all as we face an uncertain future.
